Views on the Stones

I remember I tuned into the Rolling Stones also in the mid 1970s, when they also started to suck, and all of their albums that mattered had been released long, long ago. Ron Wood had to join, Keith Richards had to come down from his addiction(s), and the group had to produce Some Girls before they started to become more listenable. A rule of thumb I seem to sense about the Stones is that while they are heavily blues-influenced, they don’t play blues together very well (my opinion). Blues alone is another matter. I respect the blues/jazz efforts of the Charlie Watts Quintet, for example.
